In the last few days, I've started to notice some large sell orders of isotopes and minerals reappear at multiple, particularly regional, trade hubs.
I wonder if these are expired bans dumping their stocks before giving up, or new stocks being produced. I guess time will tell.
I just hope CCP have a strategy to conduct a follow up investigations.

Originally by: Slaves Trader Bobbert Seems to be a big hubub about macro miners and ratters, but what of the ever-present trading bots?
Do the same detection methods work on them aswell, or are we seeing some botters slip under the radar as the sights of CCP rest firmly outside of stations?
Detection methods work on them but we're finding that they're a LOT less common than people think they are. This is also still an area we're doing more investigation.
Trade-bots have been regularly discussed in MD and they simply cannot compete against an even half way skilled trader.

Perhaps. I was trading heavily in ice products last night and the supply side is looking pretty scarce.
Also last week CCP sent out email invites for week free I got two for inactive accounts and the Buddy PLEX cascade became common knowledge. These could account for high connections numbers.

I didn't think it possible, BUT this continues to get better and better. His argument is basically, "other people are guilty as well so why should I be punished". Ha, so many logical fallacies into one post.

Originally by: Captain Davison I think I'll leave this little article... here.
That article is a joke and doesn't for the most part even make sense. The journalist has mixed up half a dozen separate things.
I suspect a pro-botter has actually tried to stir up **** up by trying to spin things negatively, whereas the reality is we are winning the war against the bots.

Polymorphic code doesn't stop anti-virus software and it would not stop anti-bot software, which would target the signature of the loader/decryption code.
However that is not a good solution because you need to constantly chase the new versions. Instead a heuristics analyser like Bayesian filter of the activities would be the great approach. These are great at spotting repetitive activities such as a bot would exhibit.
